C5 Exploits.

It's been a year since I used to hit the race track with my buddy, but I thought I might as well share some of my exploits...

First, intro to his car---> 00' Corvette. Stock Block, TT kit, exhaust, intake, tuned, meth-injected, coilovers, random other stuff. (30k in upgrades). Last dynoed 575 whp.

First ever race with him: 95' Jeep Grand Cherokee (AWD, 2.5k Launch). Beat him to 60'. I'm sure you can imagine the rest.

Second, my 98' GTP: (1800~ish) launch, aheat at the 60', not so much at 1/8, and not close at 1/4'...

Third, 02' Trans Am: (New mufflers, and that's it) Ahead at 1/8th, .05 behind at 1/4

I will omit the bike scores to respect his honor.

But suffice it to say that money certainly does not buy driving skills... But he isn't quite the walkover he once was anymore (Fair Warning)...

Rah.

Ummm. Ok, cool. You lost to a TT Vette? Suprising...not really, but if you were only a half of a second behind him in a stock T/A with mufflers he needs some help. Plus 575 RWHP seems REALLY low with forced induction AND meth...

wow.... that vette needs some work, 575whp on meth and Twins, thats just atrocious. he should be in the 700's easy, unless hes only running 1-2 psi, but then whats the point of having twins.

It does need more tuning, but the meth is only a supplement, not like its running on pure meth. Last I saw he was running 5 psi, and for spool purposes. He wants it streetable as it is his DD, and felt that going much higher would lose driveability for him...

meth injection isnt really useful except on high boost.... and he can turn the boost down for street driving, but he'll still make 5 psi where he currently makes 5psi [roughly]

to run higher boost, to be honest i have done a massive amount of research into it, i dont like using anything to up my horsepower that i have to refill [excluding gas]. i have the same thought with nitrous, and while i know meth injection doent run out near as quick i like to be able to run it at all times without having to wonder if i need to refill it or not.

and the only cars ive seen it run in are running ridiculous amounts of boost, hence my previous statement.

Many cars here run meth injection...and are under 15psi.

Yeah I think your friend needs to take his corvette and get that thing tunes for street and strip. Its a waste money for what he has now. Could have bought himself a brand new Z06 with 500hp.
