.Yup as in corvette c5.. Aka fancy fbodies even though I think the pistons are slightly different.

98-02 are all aluminum, but they are gravity fed aluminum. The C5s are pressure cast, along with the smaller pistons, those are the major differences.Vette C5 calipers have smaller pistons so they fill quicker than F-body calipers. This makes the brakes react quicker with less peddal. You stop faster and don't get the soft brake peddal that the F-body will cause ( unless you also use an F-body master cyl.)
BTW ( F-body calipers are aluminum from 97 up and )maybe a few more years too.
So I picked up some C5 Calipers and was reading about how the 06+ Impala calipers are the same Fbody except for being cast instead of Alum...So I am wondering if I can buy some 06+ brackets so I don't have to retap Fbody brackets to install my new brakes?
