Bypass Valve Stuck Open

Just bought my 06 Pontiac GP GT the check engine light came on on the way home with it so i took it to my mechanic and ran the diagnostics and it threw a po033 code "Bypass valve stuck open" so I brought it back to the dealer so they can fix it. Did a little research and saw that it could be the solenoid. Just wandering if anyone has ever ran across this problem and if so what is the average cost of repairs.

Ya just unplug the vac line to the sol and unplug the connector to the bbv problem solved

wow that simple... thanks. do i reconnect everything afterward? Also will this reset the check engine light? The remote start is not working due to the check engine light.

Often it's the soleniod. The pcm has no way to read the actual valve, so likely it's reading the soleniod not responding when it's actuated.
