buying headers!

ok, im looking to buy some headers. i have read a few threads on different headers. now mass is strict on emissions. most headers come without cats except for the slp which comes at a price. if i install headers without cats this would set off the check engine light that would inturn fail emission inspections. would a custom tune turn off the check engine light if my gtp has no cats. as long as there are no codes the car passes inspection.
 


yes, youd fail emissions, but it is super easy to tune the code out and be done with it. i had no EGR on my car, turned the code to no report, and then passed my inspections.
 
so, when i purchase the tune, i need to request to have the code taken off. for not have cats on the car or would they no to do so if i have headers
 
you would have to ask for it. i doubt they would just tune it out without letting or asking the customer first.
 
Got headers & no EGR, my light nvr came on. But I also live in Kansas where no one care about emissions lol
