Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Buying a TV. Suggestions?

If you can get the ambient lighting feature, do it. It is very nice and makes watching the TV much easier on your eyes. Just my 2cents

get a projector . make the picture as big or small as you want . just pin up a white sheet on 1 wall and the projector on the other side and you are good to go .

I really like my LG.
Oh, and if you don't NEED the glossy black bezel, don't get it. Go for the flat black.
The one before the one I have now was IMPOSSIBLE to keep clean...

Yeah, projectors are fun. Mines currently 12' x 7' but we may go bigger this year. :D :p

OK, got a Philips 42" LCD from philips outlet for $1009.15 total. Marked $999 + $29 shipping, $70 tax, 10% off. (made the TV $899) Not a bad deal methinks!

Yeah. I've bought refurb stuff many times in the past and never had any bad luck. Same warranty as new, can't complain about that. For all I know, the case just got scratched and they put a new one on it.

therman do yourself a favor and go to the best buy on 41st and yale. ask for the panasonic 42pe7u plasma. ive done ALOT of research and i also work there. its not on display because they dont want you to know its there. its only 899. its the exact same as the 1600 dollar display model on the floor. there are two left as of saturday when i left. i bought one of the three there. you WILL NOT regret it believe me. its the same tv as the px75u without the sd card. same warranty same picture quality. if you get it let me know so i can give you the calibration settings for it. its amazing my friend. you cant go wrong with a panasonic plasma.

That panny is not a bad tv.
Biggest difference between that and the 75u is:
1. No memory card slot
2. 75u has a swivel stand
Also the tv is only 720p

Really 1080p on any tv under 50" is pointless. You will see a very very slight difference but to see the real gains. you need a 60" sitting 10' away. But start going 50"+ you have the same fixed pixel so the larger the screen goes the bigger the pixel has to be to fill the screen. Only thing that sucks about plasmas and lcd they are fixed pixel. IF you a true die hard hdtv you will go front crt projection :) GO RUNCO
