Burnout Limiter??? 98 GTP

I don't remember where I read this, it was quite a while ago so I am just going by what I can remember, but to do a burnout in these cars, put the car in 2nd, set the e-brake, get the rpms up to about 2000-2500, then in one motion ease off the e-brake and give it gas.
