sorry i couldnt upload it directly. i couldnt figure it out. help on that would be great as well because im sure ill have to do that again.

I'm curious what causes those. You haven't taken any cleaner to them though. I wash my car at least every other week so I never really notice stripes, and if it's a paint problem it hasn't effected my car at 135k miles.

I'm wondering if that has anything to do directly with the airflow through the slits in the front bumper. I'm thinking that is the high traffic zone for the air to pass through with higher pressure, resulting in the debris to stick. My guess, and it's just a guess, is the stripes are mostly salt. Dirt and other debris stick on your car but salt sticks real good.

I doubt you'd do it and not even sure I recommend it without further investigation, but maybe give it a little taste, haha.

haha i think ill stay away from the taste test but is there anything you guys would recommend to remove it?

not sure.... maybe wash your car and try one of the tar removers that is safe for your paint... something thats strong like that...

those are cracks in your bumper, it comes through the paint. even if you paint over them they will show up again.

I guess not... if those are cracks you have a few options.

1.Could probably have a body shop fix it
2. Get a new front bumper and have it painted, or
3. (What I would do) get the SD Air Dam, put that sucker over it and have it repainted... oh yea! You have an excuse, haha, take advantage of it.

I find these days if I want to do something to my car I need an excuse or else my g/f gets angry that I spend money. Luckily a deer messed up my fender, door, and hood, so now I'm getting the whole car repainted, bumper ridges molded out, side molding taken off, SD Hood(CF)/AirDam/Spoiler(CF), and potentially shaved doors... not sure thats a good idea cuz occasionally it gets cold enough my doors freeze shut...

the only way is to take it to a body shop so they can put fiberglass over the cracks and repaint it, or get a new bumper its up to you. you can repaint it again without fiberglass but the cracks will show up again eventualy..

you should reinforce that he should get the SD Air Dam....

thats what I think he should do, haha

what do they look like, where do i buy them, and what do they help?

sorry i dont know alot about these so im just interested. thanks for the help guys little stuff like this really bothers me

you can get the sd air dam at grandprixstore.com... but you would have to paint that to match your car color also. i had the same problem on my gp I painted it twice and the cracks just came back...so i got a new bumper problem fixed. fiberglass will work too just take it to a good body shop..

yea grandprixstore.com has what you need

It will cover over where your stripes are and then you can get your whole bumper painted and blended...

haha did i mentoin that im going to colege soon. i just about died when i saw it would be 300 dollors after shipping. dont get me wrong i really like the way that it looks but the first major project i want to do is get my headlights upgraded. so unless i can find one at a juckyard or something like that i dont think ill be able to swing that one.

any other fixes that mabe i could do at home? i know taking it to a body shop needs to happen because both the frount and rear bumper needs to be repainted because of some pretty good scratches but i really dont have that kind of money. how much do you guys think it would cost to just get both bumpers painted so they look stock?

i wouldnt recomend that you paint over the cracks with out puting fiberglass because the cracks will show up again:th_thumb-down: do it rite the first time...dont be like me i had to do it twice waste of money:th_thumb-down: but its all up to you...
