Buffer Pads

Going to be buffing/polishing the car soon. Anybody have a real good brand of pads they recommend?

dont mean to get to confusing, but if i'm using a DA polisher like a porter cable unit i use a 5 inch backing plate with lake country 5.5 inch flat foam pad. i like those because you can throw them in washer. but if i have alot of scracthes i usually start with a buffer and the meguiars double sided wool pad. then finish up with a DA polisher.

Warren...skip the washer and get the grit guard UPW bucket. It's well worth it. Occasionally autogeek tosses it on sale. Best $100 bucket I've ever bought.

yea i have seen that bucket it sure looks sweet. but i just cant see spending that much on bucket when i can wash and dry my pads. if i can find one at good price i'll jump on it.

I said the same. Til a buddy brought his up to a meet. I bought one soon after.

Know that car you get that needs multilple pad cleanings as you are SIP'ing it? Yep, takeas seconds and your pad is clean and ready for the next panel.

pad cleaning... mix up a solution of water and floor striper dip them in and then power wash... thats how we always do it but that bucket probablly does it better
