Broken Transmission

Here is the story of my Broken Transmission.....

when leaving a stop light i lost all forward motion, sounded like a sonic boom when off underneath the car...not good.

so the car was taken to my house and put in the drive way, (piggyback #1) while i had thoughts of setting the car on fire

I located a Trans, and it HAD to be from a 2003 Bonneville or Lesaber, due to the Internal Wire Harness, Valve Body, temp sensor Etc. I was able to locate a trans had it delivered to Wyotech (where i work).

Saturday Morn it gets Piggy back ride #2 from my house to Wyotech

Get it in the shop and start working

first time to take a look underneath Nothing broken externally (duh)

Available tools

all the connectors disconnected and engine support in place

Subframe out pass axle out

Trans ready to come out

Trans out yay :roll:

Get the Drivers side Mount, HD Diff, Sun Gear, Output shaft and the HD cover Swapped in to the JY trans.

Uhh this is bad.

So i have to swap my good Side cover with the broken one.

No pics of the reinstall but imagine the reverse order of the pics
