Broken bolt.

I was taking off the body support brace and I ended up breaking the last one, instead of unscrewing it, I was twisting the bolt. Its sticking out about half an inch, Which I think might help to get out but I'm not quite sure how, pliars aren't cutting it lol. I tried uploading a picture but I can't. Stupid uploader doens't work for me. Any ideas on how to take it out?

if you have a grinder with a thin blade you can cut a slot in the bolt thats sticking out and use a flat head screw driver to remove it, if its still not moving use a propane torch and warm up around the bolt, not the bolt but the material around it, to help it expand. good luck, I've been there and it sucks when a bolt breaks off. at least you got something to work with.

Try soaking it down with PB Blaster and then giving it the slot idea. I usually use a Dremel tool to make the slot. If that doesn't do it then time for the heat wrench!

Cool, I will try that now :) One more question about the intake air temperature sensor, I've tried to pull it out but its nice and snug, I dont want to break it. Is there a special way for that little thing?

And I've broke 2 flatheads so far, working on my 3rd atm : \

the air temp sensor just unplug it and rock it back and forth, and pull on it, it will come out.

if that bolt is still stuck soak it down over night with some penetrating oil, heat it up and try again, or you will have to drill it out.

I ended up breaking more tools trying to take it off. I don't think its going anywhere without proper tools. I used a sawzall(?) to cut a slot, then the fatest flathead I could find and then turn it with a pipe wrench and didn't even budge. I'll go see if I can find a cheap bolt remover kit. Thanks for the info.
