Bring pontiac back petition site

If they would bring back the GTO they would need a much better design and not the Holden with a different bumper.

eh... but when you buy stock, you become a minority owner of a company. a petition is like a document to get issues on ballots or something. GM doesn't have to legally bring back a name plate because of a pissed off customer base

Yea i would like for pontiac to come back but the chances of it happening is very slim, not to sound like a negative person but just cause people want pontiac back doesnt exactly mean they will all purchase a new pontiac vehicle.

I sign up for it tho.

Your right they are not legally entitled to however, this shows interest of the consumer... Who they get all their money from (other than the government). Its a way to try to sway them however, most likely theres no hope for us.

lol i am not stickying this. the whole world could sign that petition and the company could just brush their shoulders off. there is a reason pontiac is gone.

Most of the Pontiac workers are now working on other vehicles mostly in the Buick lineup and you can clearly see that in the 2012 Regal GS. All you have to do is look at the interior to see that its "Pontiac" inspired.

I used to think, there's no way the Pontiac brand would ever come back, until yesterday on the news they were talking about how the Japan situation is going to affect those auto makers over there. If they fail because of the earthquake/ tsunami and GM becomes #1 or 2 in the world again, I could see them considering a return of the Pontiac brand, but that's the only way.

Yawnnnnn your all driving Buick drive trains. Regulz Rule...

That's about my interest in trying to get a company to reverse a financially based decision because a bunch of folks who apparently didn't buy a new enough vehicle to keep the line up profitable signed some website.

I see this much like when a name would be dropped for a while. Many things return in due time. There's another thing to consider.... we in the US have many outdated factories, methods and practices. Main reason, not concentrating on one thing enough and becoming a leader. Leading means rebuilding a factory from the ground up, being willing to tear down the old, inefficient things in life and build new ones. Japan got this chance after they er uh got bombed a couple of times. Now they'll do it again. Yet we'll keep on in the same ancient ways.

If someone would level the old factory and kick the historical preservation jerk in the nuts..we'd be much more in any race.
