Brighter tail lights

Dont know if this is correct place but can i replace the 3057,stopturnsignal with a 4157,stopturnsignal to make the brake lights brighter because i just put tinted tails in? i know it will fit in socket but will it melt or mess up wireing? Just asking.

where did you get the tinted tails?

i've had flip do around 7 tail lighst for 4 or 5 different vehicles and the stock bulbs were always bright enough

Flip did mine and I could go for some slightly brighter bulbs.

the truck i had flip did the tailights (led alztera crap) and they were still bright as a mofo. i usually upgrade the vehicles to led over time anywyas

I have flip tails as well. Anyone know what the reverse light number is. I can't see jack when backing up. Thinking of converting to led.

Well i bought the tails from a board member thinking its what i wanted but after i put on the car i just like the stockers better exept for the delamination, nothing wrong with tinted ones just not what i wanted i guess, they have vht on them and clear look great nice shine; i think at this point i will try and resale and get better lookin stockers! Thanks for replys!!!

I traded my tinted ones for someones nice stock tails (after I got pulled over for them being tinted) id like to get the led taillights tho.

Always a good idea to have the brightest bulb you can get in there if you have tinted tails....Someone could easily put you at fault for an accident by saying they couldn't see your brake lights

If you want a bright led bulb, go with these:
Web Store - elef

They use a 5W OSRAM led. That's brand name, REAL 5W led. That bulb will blow the living s**t out of the regular PnP bulbs you can find everywhere else. But they aren't cheap. I bought the 3W amber leds for my front turn signals and I'm in the process of putting them in.
