• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Breaking in this section too

As posted in the other 4 speed auto section, I am more than glad to help out when I can. The Heavy Duty transmissions were used in the Supercharged L67 and L32 powered cars. A limited run of 1996 4T60E transmissions were tagged as HD also as they recieved the special HD diff and accessories to support the added power of the then new Series 2 3800 engine.

We should add a section for the 4t80e....
there will be quite a few w-bodys running them this year

I was waiting for that. I still want to see someone run a time with a 4t65e at its best and pushed then switch to a 4t80e without chaning anything else and see how it does. Has James succesfully gotten any on the road yet? I havent been reading that stuff on ilgpc for a while.

not yet, we are just figureing out the wireing harness and how to install a 03' internal range switch to the 97+ 4t80 and make it run off of a 00+ l67/l36 harness. We are trying to find a reliable company to rebuild the TC for higher stalls. shouldnt be that long now before at least one is up and running.
once thats figured out the 442 will have both motors powered by them as well the Drag Whore,Vs GTP and most likely erics Riv........i would like to see the impala get one but i will see if its in the budget. i want to spend as little as possible on the 9c1

we are going to be fab'ing quite a few aluminum subframes with the 4 corner mounting so other people will have the option to upgrade.
it will be about time a 3800 series II/III has equal length FWD axles
4t65 FTL

sign me up when that baby has proven herself on the track. I'd like to see it work

have you tried Midwest converters? they build top notch TC's.....

trannyman you are an aset to this club! i wasn't able to fix my slipping issue but i'm sure it's the pressure line going in the accumulator not seated in all the way. it slips when i give it 20% throttle from a dead stop, and my shift times aren't as fast as they used to be.

i'm in africa now and i'll be here for a couple moths. i'll tackle that line as soon as i get home.

anyway, thanks for your help

I dunno...I'm laying in bed browsing threw the threads on here and a few other forums I like and just figured I wanted to be like all the noons and bring a 5 year old thread back from the dead

Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

Then you brought it up just to do so w/o any good reasoning? Next time you get bored, I'll throw you a couple infraction points. LMK when you'd like them.

If a thread is super old, the only reason to bring them back up is if the info is relevant etc. Just because you were bored doesn't sit well.

Thanks
