• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Brand of fuel level sensor

When I manually move the float arm, the gas gauge moves slowly. I set it so the tank reads empty. When I hook it all up with we everything in the tank and turn the key on, it rockets to between 3/4 and full. It doesn't move slowly like it should.
How is it hooked up when you do the test? Different that when in the tank? I wouldn't entrust in the speed that the needle moves, as mine changed a bit after changing the sensor.

I've probably nudged it but wasn't paying attention to the gas gauge. I'm chocking this up to a loss, and just gonna rely on filling up every 400 miles. Too much time invested, and I'm not chasing wires from the trunk to the pcm

Update...with the pump in the tank, I unhooked the square connector with the key and pump on. It went to full, but when I plugged it back in, it went to where it's been staying. Shaking the pump around alters the fuel gauge a bit too.
