Eventful fu
cking night to say the least. Lets get started shall we folks?
Well I pulled my mustang out of the garage to turn it around so I could pull farther up in the garage and have my trunk accessible from it, got stuck on half an inch of snow and slush. 295 Drag radials say F you to snow.
Got her up in the garage and parked, so we finally leave and head for Chicago.
Looks like we won't make it for awhile... dead stop traffic because a truck jack knifed. GPS, u so funny.
Finally we make it to Dan's, sign over the papers, go for my first drive and snap a shot at the gas staion, sh
ity shot, but i was in a hurry.
So head back to his place, get everything settled, then I head home. about 40 minutes into the drive, just finished the Chicago Skyway bridge, cruising with the flow of traffic and not even 2 seconds after hitting the Indiana boarder..
Indiana State trooper, and he was a F-ing prick. Says I'm speeding way over the limit, i have no plates on the car, asks if its stolen. Show him all the papers proving it was just purchased and that I'm an out of towner and no idea what the speed limit was. It was an expressway, so i figured 70. Wrong, it was 45. So what does he do? Writes me a full 25 over ticket. Thats right, writes that ***** for 70 in a 45. Lets just say I'm a little fumed about that one. I was completely honest with the guy, told him exactly my speed as i knew i was going 70, and that i didn't see any 45mph signs, only the 70mph sign that was 200 feet in front of where he stopped me. Yes that's the 70 mph sign in front of my car. I'll be fighting this.
Well back on a good note. Stopped for gas once I hit Michigan, only put in 20 bucks at the IL station since it was 4.75 a gal for premium. Filled the car back up for 4.02 and headed on my way home.
And here she is finally home, all cozy in her nice heated garage with her new sister who is the evil bi
tch of the family. This should go well together.
More pictures will come tomorrow if its nice outside. Car is clean, a lot cleaner than I thought. Not a spot of rust, rockers are in tact. I am very pleased with my purchase. Runs very well for a 3.2 pulley XP car and sounds good too for a poopy 3800. Only issue is it needs a tune, running a tad lean at 13-14 air/fuel. Wideband reading well. Well there you have it, my 7 hour trip that cost me some monies lol.
