Boost Questions! :)

Howdy! ,
I just had a few questions about this engine. Obviously specifically in the amazing pontiac gran prix.

Here it goes.. How must boost can a stock engine take? Also if I wanted to increase boost how would I do that and what else on the engine, exhaust etc would you recommend me to "update" so I wouldn't blow the engine.

ive had intake manifold pressure at 45psi on a stock motor with a new LIM gasket

boost dosen't always make the most power. ignition timing advance is always there unlike boost.

Do you have any power goals in mind?

I've pressure tested most anything 3800 related to 60psi. Runor is the weakest part would be a plastic intake manifold at 100psi.
