Boost gauge wiring help please!

Do I have my boost gauge installed, I already have the air line hooked up I just ned to get the power and ground hooked up. I want it to only light up when my dash comes on and I want to be able to use my dimmer. There are four wires that go to the dimmer and I have been messing with it for a while now and I can't get my gauge to work for me... It either doesn't light up or it had power all the time even when the vehicle is turned off and locked up. The dimmer works on it but out doesn't turn of with the dash... Please help..

Tha Haynes repair manuals have pretty good wiring diagrams in the back of them. If you dont have one, you might want to buy one and keep for future repairs.
You basically need to find the wire that goes from the dimmer switch to the bulbs that are controlled with it, and tap into that, but to do it right, you got to find the wire, and without the diagram, it can be very frustrating if one does not have alot of expierience.

I tried using the dimmer switch and it would either light up my boost gauge and it would never turn off our the dimmer would be backwords to my dash... I ended up hooking it up to the dimmer write going to my cd deck. Now it turn on when the dash turns on and the dimmer works on it also. Yay I win!
