boost gauge question

first off i searched on here for a little bit for information but looking to hear more. i installed my boost gauge today and hooking it up is not the problem. i ran it to the vac line on the top of the blower where the vac tree is. i ran it there because i herd of someone else on here doing that and i want to keep the line away from heat. it work but i dont think the reading is that accurate on it. when at idle it reads 20 for the vac side and when i hit WOT it shows 0 PSI. so i think i have it hooked up to the wrong line. what lines did you guys who have one run yours to? and where should i run mine to if its not in the right spot. i can get pics tomorrow any help is appreciated

that's where i had it at first but it gets real hot in that area, do you think it will mess up the line? ill look tomorrow for a place around that's not too hot if there is one

The stock lines are plastic?

And are in the heat 100% of the time?

Heat is going to be an issue?

yea never thought about it like that
its just the boost vac line seems a lil more thinner and more delicate
and also i got rid of alot of my original plastic lines because they broke when i took the blower off
so i replaced them with regular vacuum line not the plastic line

I had the same problem with my boost gauge when i 1st hooked it up. FFDP is right there is a factory boost line that runs under the snout. Once i T'd into that it worked fine. Good luck!

i tried another spot, tapped into mine right under the snout but still have to try another spot its now reading PSI but only like 3-4

Is it the stock S/C pulley? It will read like 5-6 at least mine did.

When I was S/C I t'd mine right below the snout and never had an issue. The vac side at idle should be reading -18 to -20
