Yeah what could it be? I've tried a standalone vac gauge and it also only reads 10.

Maybe the fitting you used is doing that?
Beats me really.
I'd try sticking the line straight into the rubber T off the FPR to see if the gauge reads over 10.

FPR? But you mean just hooking the gauge directly up to that line without the plastic tubing line right?

Fuel pressure regulator...
Take the plastic line going to the gauge and stick it straight into rubber T off the FPR, see if the gauge reads more than 10. You may have to pinch it with your fingers to get a tight seal.
If it goes past 10, your problem is within the "T" that you made with that brass fitting.

YOu can get a vacuum boost reading off of the fuel pressure regulator?

Cleary you arent understanding me.
The Fuel pressure regulator see's MANIFOLD VACUUM, its connected in a series with the other ports for vacuum on the motor.
Take the line OFF the FPR, plug that plastic line from the gauge to the RUBBER T that you pull OFF the FPR, that will give you manifold vacuum.
You don't stick the plastic line inside the regulator itself.

Okay guy.
See this picture that you already posted.
The metal thingy with the RUBBER T, on it already is the fuel pressure regulator. Seeing how you already have tapped that line and saw 10in/hgs and boost, of course its still going to read boost. Its a vacuum line thats going to MAP sensor.
A guess at your problem is the Plastic T that you made. Make it back to normal and stick that plastic line into FPR T, see if that makes more than 10 in/hgs. I don't how to explain it any better, don't get confused over simple stuff here.

id ditch that compression fitting T set up, stick that white tube ( that feeds the gauge) into a short piece of vac line, then into a T in line where its already cut.
i bet the end of that white tube is pinched shut from cutting it, if you used dykes to cut it.
check that the gauge side of this tube is open as well, cut it clean with a razor blade.

I checked the line and it was fine. But I'll try to not use that T-fitting.

Fixed all the lines and it seems to be running better now. Taped up all the fittings and made sure there were no cracks.

Tape doesn't fix vacuum leaks. Get new line if you think it's leaking.
