boost gauge doesnt go all the way up

Just replaced my blown motor with a used one from rpm auto and everythings hooked up but my boost gauge won't go all the way up even at WOT, the old motor and supercharger made the gauge go up easily, its completly stock, 98 gtp...anyone know what it could be ?

recheck all vacuum lines.

follow the line around the supercharger to the map sensor. look at all the T's and elbow for cracks in the rubber.

There was this weird looking peice I replaced thinking that would be it but still nothing. I've looked over and over each line , there's no cracks or anything.

clunking noise when hit gas and let go

It only happens once in a while but it makes a clunking noise sometimes shifting into 4th and when I let go of the gas then hit it fast again. I would like to no what this is. I know I need outter tie rods but I don't think that would do that.
