Boost doesn't seem right

I've been having the P0243 code. I never noticed a problem with the car until a week or so ago. Car seems sluggish. Also, the boost gauge only goes halfway when at WOT. I do notice it pegs out for a split second and then back down to halfway. I can also hear this action in the whine. I also don't leave anywhere near the amount of rubber I did before from a dead stop. lol

The rubber on the booster cap looks good. But, the hoses on it seem cracked. But I'm not seeing a leak. Should I start there and replace all those hoses since they are cracking.

GM Does offer that as a complete replacement for around $20.
Also, an alternative, but not as nice looking is making your own from vacuum hose and plastic fittings.

The gm prices went up, just after the first of the year i think.

I got the full line replacment for 35ish bucks, 2 weeks ago. That didnt include the brake boost lines.

Hmm ok. you guys know the part number to that kit? Also, I could probably just get a hose anywhere for the brake booster right?

It sounds like you got hosed then, because retail price is only $26.
Actually, the ones for the 04+ are cheaper, about $15 for them. If you wanna get one from the dealer, the number for the one that runs under the SC is 12580696.
