Boost Controller?

Wait...you can't log boost with the HPTuners Suite?

I don't use Hptuners but you should be able to log boost. The stock map sensor limits to you reading only around 14.7psi boost. When tuning, reading boost isn't that helpful, its just nice to know what your at.

well if you upgrade to a 3 Bar MAP, can't the HPT in theory read higher than 14.7 to what...30 (I think that is what the 3 Bar MAP goes to)

You can't when your car runs a 1-bar Map.

Unless you do a standalone setup though the EIO.

I don't plan on running more than 14psi (if that)...so if I get the "pro" version of HPTuners, can I somehow hook up that 1 bar (14.7psi) map signal to an input on the HPTuners to effectively log boost?

Ill be honest, I have no clue what the car will record on hpt on the GTP's. My car was n/a before i supercharged it and it ran a 1bar sensor wich records negative psi.

the two bar system that is stock on the GTP will record boost on hpt. Im fairly sure that the map tables on the GTP's only goest to 5psi though.

I wouldnt worry about logging it anyway, but yea if you want to run standalone items, the EIO version is the way to go. If you just want something to delete codes and scan, then stick with the Standard version. I think without the ability to log a wideband with the standard version, Its basically useless. (IMO)

You can read boost up to 14.7psi on the stock gtp pcm/map. It will read out on a scan guage or an aeroforce guage as I have one. As far as logging it, you may have to make a .pid and convert the map kpa values to boost.

As far as hptuners standard version I thought you could wire in the wideband signal through the egr and create a .pid to be able to log wideband values without having the a/d inputs.
