Boost Control?

Does anybody with an HPTuner know what you can do with the boost control option. Its under the VCM tab and I was just wondering what exactly it does. can you actually use it to increase the amount of boost you are getting? If so I understand it probably wouldn't be a good idea to increase it by much, but just thought it would be cool. thanks.
 


You can probably use it to lower it. But normally you're running at full boost. It only pulls boost as a safety measure.
 
Like when you get KR...the PCM pulls timing so you're car won't blow up ;)

Could it be connected to that by chance?
 
ok cool i read something related on the hp tuners forum, about boost dumping, but wasnt sure if it was the same option. thanks guys.
