BLUEGTP91's BUILD...Page 25 has some vids :D

Re: BLUEGTP91's BUILD!! *VIDEO PAGE 15*

May not be a small block but sure gives me a WOODY listening to that vid. :D

Re: BLUEGTP91's BUILD!! *PICS Pg:7*

Video...should be up...hmmm...now.

It has a bad exhaust leak...and due to lack of TB bracket being at BRIAN'S HOUSE!!!!...it idles kinda high, so it doesn't capture all of the lope of the cam. But here it is a little higher than 1000 rpm's.

Not bad AT ALL!
Nice looking car man.

Re: BLUEGTP91's BUILD!! *VIDEO PAGE 15*

It turns out I don't think its the lifters...I have play in my rockers so those might have to be replaced. And yeah, got the TB bracket from the other bish before he left :D

Re: BLUEGTP91's BUILD!! *VIDEO PAGE 15*

stoooooooooooooock. To hell with that roller crap that I won't gain ANY power from.

ive never understood why people do cams with stock ratio rollers......seems kinda pointless....def agree with stock i have a set if your interested.....with retainers and springs/bolts etc.

I've got another set, thanks though.

As for the Rollers, for the price it doesn't seem worth it but they do let the motor rev freer and faster due to the fact they weigh less and are roller tipped...which are also easier on the guides. I just can't justify spending $400 on something I PERSONALLY wont notice any difference on.

Re: BLUEGTP91's BUILD!! *VIDEO PAGE 15*

Well, some of you know...some of you don't. So I'm going to spill the entire story for you here.

I built the motor with the help of a bunch of good friends...and had EVERYTHING done to it for a stout heads/cam build. Apparently, not to my knowledge, the machine shop I had went to didn't install the oil galley plugs back in the block. After getting everything installed and put together with no setbacks...it was supposed to run like a raped ape. It did even start on it's first crank...as seen in the video above. So...after testing the oil pressure with a mechanical and electric oil pressure gauge it barely it 2psi...after deciding to tear it down...I found all the bearings scored, etc. The shop covered the cost of everything for me after I told them what had happened...I am going with a Thrasher Cam this time around...as I thought though...the the Thrasher was a .566/.566 cam...but I got the new spec sheet and this thing is bigger .574/.566...which makes Bio mad because apparently that was his custom cam ;)

As of today...the motor is totally reassembled...and ready to get tossed in...I've got oil galley plugs this time, a new spring set for the accumulator, and a new oil pump...which got chewed up from the lack of oil pressure too. So...guys...get ready for a good video coming within a week or so...I'm beyond ready to drive this thing again...as it has been over a year. Then...look for the for sale thread :D
