Blue tooth Knock gauge questions

I have been playing around with the blue tooth obd II and the torque app with the knock detector add in. Today it said i had 1 degree of timing. I have stock pulley, stock tune, stock manifolds, factory plugs, thrasher intake, u bent delete, high flow cat, slp exhaust non resonated. Coolant temp was 185 to 190 unsure of thermostat but think it has been lowered from factory. thinking 185.

Should i be getting any knock with a stock pulley?

no thats one degree of kr. lol

kr cuts your timing back to keep the engine from blowing up.

U bend delete is the only reason you have only one degree of kr too. with out it im sure you had up to 4 or 5 easy, but stock is fine like that.

I had AL104's, headers, open cone, 180 tstat and 3.4 with 0kr all day every day 3.5 is for girls

Am I reading that you are using the knock detector plugin for torque? If so that is not what you want use to check for KR.
  • Open Torque
  • Go to Settings
  • Go to manage extra PIDs/Sensors
  • Click the 3 dots next to manage custom OBD2 PIDs
  • Add predefined set
  • Click Pontiac/GM/Opel/Vauxhall
  • Go back to the main page
  • Go to realtime Information
  • Click in a blank space
  • Add display
  • Add a gauge - I like the Half Dial meter as it shows you the highest and lowest values
  • Scroll down to knock retard
  • Done
