Blue smoke out exhaust

So now since I got the cat taken out the smoke is really noticable and looks blue-ish. I started off by doing a compression test and 1-6 cylinders got up to between 150-155psi so thats good news. I did it with coil disconnected, fuel pressure released, fuel fuse pulled and went one cylinder at a time. Cranked it till it stopped climbing.

I found NO oil on the spark plugs either.

What should I look at next? Does dex-cool burn completely white? What about supercharger oil when its burning?

no its has something to do with either coolant or oil mixing i believe.... aka yuo need new gaskets internally asap

I had the same thing happen check your trottle body inside and out just in case its mixing the wrong things there, coolant,fuel

Since when does the throttle body mix coolant and fuel? Or have I been missing something for a long time here? Last I checked all it did was move air? Hmmm...interesting.

In all honesty...

White = Water
Black = Gas
Blue = Oil

I'd check your valve cover gaskets man.

Well what the hell do you think then Mr. genius...when the LIM gaskets are bad he would be burning COOLANT, not oil. You think the ****ing oil fairy magically drops pools of oil in his EXHAUST so it burns blue? How do you suppose the oil gets there as it is NOT LIM gaskets since he changed them and it still smokes blue...and a leaking supercharger will pool up on the LIM and just get hot and stink bad, not smoke...I know...I've had snout seals go bad, gaskets rip, etc. So again I say...Valve Cover Gaskets. Check them...I've owned TWO pushrod motor cars that have burned oil and I changed the VCG's and it got rid of it once all the old oil was burned out. You know all of those Honda's that smoke blue that AREN'T turbo'd? That's right...simple VCG replacement cures things right up...even if it isn't them...they are cheap and they aren't TOO hard to replace, plus it is always nice to have new gaskets and your ruling things out if that doesn't fix it...which I'm not sure what else it could be unless you hook a oil pressure gauge to your car and see what kind of PSI it is making.

^^^^I second the valve seals...It could also be the valve covers....oil leaking down the engine and onto the exhaust is common with 3.8l engines.....

It doesnt smoke on a cold start up. I can look at the valve cover gaskets but that still doesnt explain why it would be coming out of the exhaust?

Is it at all possible to get supercharger oil leaking into the intake manifold?

Yep possible, but it would stink and not very common.......I would say an "O" Sensor (burning rich/lean) but that would cause black smoke .... that may throw a code (but not always).....

Did you ever replace the pistons? Because if you did and lined all the gaps up or had them close that would let oil up into the cylinders.

Seriously dude, Who do u think you are talking to everyone who posts comments like that? maybe since your such the mechanic we dont even need this forum for any help just give everyone your e-mail address hell just give em your home phone number, and everyone who ever has a problem can get the answers there looking for right? Beings you know every f***ing thing there ever was to know about cars. Everyone has had diff problems with diff fixes. I was just telling him what fixed mine. Did you even read what i posted telling him what mine was doing? Im not a f***ing idiot i know how to fix and rebuild cars/engines. I just answered your post the same way you answered that other guys post in here. If you got mad imagine how everyone else feels when you do it to them. It makes some people afraid to even say anything when mr. know it alls like yourself make fun of their answers ,and maybe that person whos afraid to say anything, might have the right answer you know what im saying? Try being nice once in a while or control your typing fingers and just say what you might think it is rather than making fun of somones answer. Just because you think somones answer is stupid dont mean you have to tell everyone on here you think it is,nor does it mean its not how to fix it.

Well I replaced the valve cover gaskets. Dont think it cured things up but its dark and hard to tell. I will take a good look tomorrow. Good preventative maintenance regardless.

I think my next step is a rebuilt supercharger. If it ends up being valve seals I will upgrade springs at the same time and maybe do roller rockers.

Calm down killer. I just said it to you. You were the one that said LOL at my Valve Cover comment. I was just stating the obvious since you know so much about cars then you should know that supercharger oil does not burn and when it does HAPPEN to leak and get hot it just stinks...it doesn't even evaporate or burn off like most fluids do. I was merely trying to get you to back up your statement, and yes...I did read your previous post. I wasn't making fun of yours either, if you can't take constructive criticism then you need to go cry to someone else. Don't make my look petty when you come on here and try to talk yourself to be all knowledgeable either. I don't claim to know everything, nor do I. Not sure where I said that. But whatever. Get control of your fingers.

Anyways...check it out in the morning man and let us know. If it does cure it great then...I'll see my diagnosis was correct. If not ^^ guy will have something to say about me being wrong I'm sure.
