2004 grand prix, when you turn on the heat,,it blows cool air,,,,like if the knob is turned to the cool side,,,heater core hoses are both warm/hot so i dont think its that,,,fan blows fine,,,it just the temp of the air coming out,,,,any tips?

It could be either the Air conditioning/Heater Climate Control or the HVAC Heater/Air conditioning/ Vent Actuator. That is where I would start.

i read somewhere the actuator is behind/under the glovebox,,,but what am i looking for,,,,also,,,the hvac climate thing,,,,how/where do i find that

have you tried to bleed air out of your cooling system??? even though the hoses feel warn does not mean your getting flow through the heater core

^^^ That's most likely what it is...you probably have an air lock in your cooling system. I worked at a radiator shop for a number of years and saw this in many cars. When we replaced radiators, we would test to see if they had hot air as a way of making sure there wasn't any air locks in the system.

Did you resolve the issue? My 06 isnt blowing hot air, wife had a blazer that did same thing untill we flushed radiator. the red anti-freeze crystalized according to local shop...

ive had this issue a few times on different cars/trucks and flushing out just the heater core with a garden hose did the trick each time....i hook up a line from garden hose to inlet, then outlet to ground/bucket, turn hose on, wait until the water running out is clear, swap inlet for outlet and "backflush" it, keep going back and forth until its always nice and clean, hook lines back up, bleed cooling system, enjoy.

check these things next time.

You shouldnt have red coolant.... it should be orange.

It also should be changed periodically.

See above about the whole 2008 thing.
