Blower motor rusted ?

So I had my GP looked at by my mechanic because the blower motor would work and slowly die/turn off. He took a look at it and said some how water had go into the car and leaked right on it (he said it rusted and now it works at random). Now I did have water on the floor board during summer would fixing that stop this leak to the blower motor? thank you.

Thanks Matt wanted to be sure. Going on a parts run tomorrow any idea if most GM dealers have the water deflector in stock at the dealership?

Mine had to order it. It was there in a day though. Local parts distribution warehouses probably have them ready to ship to the dealer.

I have an 04 fan i would sell ya on the cheap if your interested. All you got to do is extend the resistor harness an inch. 30 bux obo shipped and it's yours. It's not doing me any good sitting around.
