Blower motor resistor, Coolant leak?

I know the rtv wouldnt help. Thats if everything is well.

Would it be a hard install?

Thanks for all your help btw, I really appreciate it.

A timing cover?

It's not horrible. You drop the ps pump down (2 x 13mm) Then pull the harmonic balancer, (already have coolant drained)... A few 13mm bolts and it's off. Wiggle it out and switch, new timing cover gasket is cheap.

Thinking aloud here, it's probably an hour or two job for most guys.

PHEW!... no cracks!

Okay so I did the whole process again, for the third time now. Lightly sanded the holes clean, made sure everything was clean. Put rtv under the o-ring and behind it. Im still not confident it sealed. Its only been a little while since I got it done, I noticed liquid splashing off the belts but nothing dripping down under the car.

...we'll see.

I drove it around some more and I'm pretty sure it's all sealed up. No more leaky

My car decided that it wasn't broken enought anymore so abs lights on now, and my remote start starts up, runs, then shuts off and restarts.

Shortly after I remembered I forgot to put the plug back into the alternator. That fixed the abs and the remote start issue

Pretty sure its still leaking a tiny amount. -_-

hows the water pump? grab the pulley, engine off, belts still on with 2 hands, push with one, pull with the other back and fourth, if theres play the pump could be leaking, they will leak off and on, at will. and leak/drip strait down to the balancer and motor mount.

Thanks man,
Ill check it tomorrow.

No play in the water pump pulley.

I'm beginning to think that the leak isn't coming from the lower cast elbow. All signs point to that, but I cant actually SEE if its leaking from there and I've re-sealed it three times now.

Couldn't figure out what the hell it was. So I took it to a mechanic friend so he could pressure test it and what not.

Its the water pump :(
