Blower Motor Replacement

Here's a little writeup on replacing the blower motor in a 2004+ Grand Prix, information provided is from a 2004 GT, if there are any differences noted in any other year or trim, Post or PM me and changes will be made accordingly.

BLOWER MOTOR REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1.Remove the right side instrument panel insulator. (This is on the underside of the dash. If unsure of this procedure, scroll towards the bottom of this post)
2.Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.

3.Remove the blower motor mounting bolts.
4.Remove the blower motor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1.Install the blower motor. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2.Install the blower motor bolts. Tighten Tighten the bolts to 1.3 N.m (12 lb in) .

3.Connect the blower motor electrical connector.
4.Install the right side instrument panel insulator.

Removal Procedure

1.Remove 3 fasteners.
2.Rotate the lamp. Remove the lamp from the insulator.
3.Remove the insulator.


Installation Procedure

1.Install the lamp to the insulator. Rotate the lamp.
2.Align the insulator to the lower instrument panel.
3.Install 3 fasteners.
 




Ok, honestly how the hell do you get those fasteners off wihtout breaking the damn thing. Also when removing the resistor the screws are in the little holes on the sides of the resistor right? and what kind of driver do you use to get them out????? I couldnt get under far enogh to see the head of the screw
