Block off EGR will I get CEL?

If I block off my EGR on the LIM and manifold will I get a CEL if I keep the harness connected? I'd like to do the delete but don't have a tune yet.

Inb4 gas mileage, get a tune, search

Yeah, it will lkely throw some sort of flow code.

Why not just leave it on if it not causing problems.

Thanks for the reply. I will probably follow your advise. I just don't want a dirty TB and melted plenum (02 l36), but I'll leave it if removal will cause me problems. When I did the intake manifold gaskets I noticed heat damage above the stove pipe. Also the TB was black (this was at 145000 km mind you)

Block the coolant ports and you'll never have to worry about teh plenum

How would that prevent the peeling/ burnt plastic above the stove pipe? I did drive the car for about a month before I knew my cat was getting clogged up. Maybe that is why it burnt.
