Blend door actuators! HELP!

I have 98 Pontiac grandprix GT. 3.8L non super charged . ... I have a dual climate, automatic digital system. I just recently installed 2 new actuators, and it won't switch from defrost, floor, or bilevel. It stays at the floor. Please help me .
 


Have you checked the vacuum line to motor, that's what controls floor/defrost/bilevel movement? (hooks in right by the brake booster hose leaving the intake manifold)
 
I haven't checked the vacuum. Can you help me with the name, and location so I can check it out . I thought the blend door was the one that controlled it to go defrost, bilevel, lower, etc

Pop your hood
On the firewall of the driverside there's a big black thing (that's the brake booster)
It has a rubber hose on it. Follow that to the motor
Right where it meets the motor, the fitting it is pushed on has a nipple sticking straight up and a vaccum line should be connected there.
Follow that smaller vacuum line, it'll likely go over the strut on the passenger side. If it's broken.. put some rubber hose at the break to reconnect the pieces.

Your bi-level will work again.
 
The whole hose that goes over the strut is torn apart . I can't even find the other half of the hose. Am I screwed or can I get a new hose ? What would the hose be called ?
 
Plastic tubing is what it's called.

It should run from the motor over the strut, down past the battery, across the inside of the bumper and over to a canister in the driverside fender.

Cut off a 1-2" piece of that hose and go to the parts store. Ask where their rolls of hose are and likely it's around wiper size or smaller, find one that goes onto the hose kinda snugly. Get say 2 feet and find the other side.. fix it up and smile.

That's what the little vacuum line is for? I noticed it when doing my LIM gasket and thought it was windshield washer fluid related haha.
 
I went to autozone. I used a windshield fluid rubber hose. It fit very snug. Still didn't fix it though. Should I try to reset the actuators again ? Disconnect the battery for a min or two, turn the key to on . Let sit for 2 mins. Then turn off, then start the vehicle ?
