Black & Yellow GTP....what color Torque Stars?

I can't make up my mind what color I want to paint these torque stars that I picked up last night. I think I got a good deal at $150 with two new tires and two that are practically slicks lol. I am thinking high gloss black would look good with chrome lug covers. A friend of mine said gunmetal silver? What do you guys recommend?

Here is my GTP:

Here are the rims:

I am going to dismount all the tires and work with just the rims, hoping for a better finish. I am in no rush really but would like to get this project done within a month or so.

Ok I agree with all your replies on some level so here is my ideas in order:

MadMonkey: Love the idea, plastidip is like $6 a can at my local HomeDepot. I was going to mess around with black on black to see if it grows on me..if not start peeling. I could always resell these on CL where I got them...probably for more than I bought them.

Bio: Knowing that I am going with a yellow color scheme, wth will flow with that other than black or chrome? Any ideas?

Odi & CodyAK: Awesome idea...working with peanuts dudes...just found out I'm going to be a dad by new years...rims are out.

KeithGTP03: How the hell do you polish these silver painted rims? Sounds hellishly labor intensive, but probably cheap if I'm not in a rush.

So what you all can't see is the bottom two rims have a bit of road rash and one has a 4" scrape missing clear coat..therefore I wanted to paint these anyway. I am not putting them on my car without refinishing them. They are not bent in any way so that is good. Last week I was buying polished TQs but the guy wanted $400 including crappy tires, two of the rims where bent to crap. He did not want to budge on the asking price and I did not want bent rims...the rest is history. He emailed me today saying they were sold. I laughed as I deleted the email.

By the way my current Snowflake/TriStars are like new because the original owner was meticulous with cleaning the car/rims and they have never met a curb in their lifetime. Damn I might just plastidip them in yellow AND black just for ****s&giggles....bee rims....JK guys.:th_sick1:

Don't go black only. Ends up looking like a steelie when your driving. Standing still you can see the spokes but that's it

Try out black with yellow lip. Breaks up the black from tire to rim without taking away from either :)

being only 16's, yellow/white/chrome lip or not, black rims are gonna look tiny.
