Black Tail/Headlight Laws

Does anybody know the laws in INDIANA for black headlights and tail lights? I've heard that they are illegal but yet I've seen numerous people with them on their cars. Anything helps, thanks!

headlights cannot be blacked out. nor can you drive with just your fog lights on at night. as far as tails go as long as they are not to dark you should be able to get away with it. I think your rear lights should be able to be seen from at least 30 feet away during the night. I haven't had an issue with my tails, and they have been tinted for a few years now.

30? try more like a couple hundred feet.

just dont go too dark when tinting tails, just a light coat will look good.

you can have headlight covers on during the day but must be taking off at night, and tinting your headlights is down right stupid and dangerous.

if you are going to go dark you will have a problem.. do them light tint and you will never have a problem with them..

Technically tinting anything at all is illegal, but if it's light on the tails, most cops won't bother you. As far as headlights, it's dangerous, illegal, and honestly looks REALLY tacky.

Something like this would work for headlights. There was very little bit of black added to the clear.
