Bilstein lowering springs?

I'm looking into springs for lowering the car and I've decided on Bilstein struts. My question is, what spring would be best for a 1"-1.5" drop? GXP springs say they'll lower over 2", which is WAY too much. The 97-03 springs say 1.8" in front and 1.6" in the rear, and the 04-08 ones say 1.7" on both sides. I know the Bilsteins raise the car on stock springs, but by how much? If it's only a half inch or so then I'll just get the 97-03s, but if it's more then I'll have to start looking for other options
 


I used SSC coils with Monroe struts, and here is how much I got lowered:

My ssc springs never lowered to the stated amount, it would have taken them years to start sagging and get to it.

I got maybe 1.3-1.5 overall after almost 2 years.
 
I found a guy that lowered his Comp G on Bilsteins and SSC's and well, I fell in love. After seeing this, it's 100% settled, this is what I'm gonna do
 
And I'm glad I asked the guy, he lowered it on 04+ springs and not the GXP ones. Since the way the car is shaped makes the rear look lower than the front, I'm gonna go with the 97-03 springs on the Bilsteins. Excited for this, but now I have to wait until funds allow me to proceed lol.
 


I don't want it too low, I'm not really into lowering at all, but I don't like being able to fit all 5 fingers in my wheel gap either lol
 




Putting the ssc 04+ springs/bilsteins on today/tomorrow. Starting in the back ..waiting on outer tie rods to arrive.

Had to torch the rear links off.....


Yeah I missed overkill''s page where he says to get the 97-03 ssc springs until after my 04+ set shipped. I'm not too worried about the rear sagging but time will tell. I'm lowering it more for handling than looks.

I have heard that the way the rear fender is shaped makes the rear appear lower than the front at stock height. Not really sure.


Yeees coil overs would be my ultimate goal too..but that will be a while. Maybe after we build a new shed and get our second vehicle this year. Need something to drive when GP is down.
 
Make sure to post pics! And the 04+ springs still look great, it all depends on opinion. It's really not a big difference between the 2
