BGPM09 participants?

Well it looks like there will be two G-bodies not going this year :th_angry-censored: . I have had zero time for my car in the last few months so of course the few days before the event I had planned to work on it in spare time to get a few things done before the drive, one important one was new lower rear control arms as the ones that I have had on the car the past few years were getting worn and I was warned by the GN guys that they are very hard on the frame...... Well a dream come true for me! Upon taking the right lower arm off I noticed that it ripped a weld off the frame that ties the front arm support to the top of the frame!!! I guess when the front wheel likes to come off the ground on a hard lauch something is going to pay the price, just very very bad timing for this to happen and Im pretty sick over it to top off a few very rough long weeks. I havent posted anything about the project car I picked up a few weeks ago but I bought a 97 GP GT a few weeks back to strip and build up so I have something to test with and to break parts with :th_sinister: but it is not in any way ready for that long of drive and has a pretty tired engine and trans in it and I dont have the time to pull off a miracle to drop in something else to get me by. It looks like we are driving the Trailblazer down this year unless something magically happens in the next 24 hours. Ohh well, more beer storage space lol!
 


I am sorry to hear that Dave, I guess that means you can "test" my car out then :D

And maybe "tune" ;)

Hahaha yeah there is always wishful thinking! I will still be bringing my laptop and tuning stuff so if it isnt raining an inch/hr the whole weekend :th_laugh-lol3:

actually it will be the gsx this year since i got teh tranny done after last year, but still im no fu(king happy about the situation the least bit:th_angry-teeth:

was hoping to get a couple last mods on the regal in time, but dave its wayyyyy busy, and im handicap so i screwed. and i cant use my new sub, because i didnt get the blown parts for my amp in time. EPIC FAIL OF A WEEK:th_thumbsup-wink:
 
you know dave, if we both fail at life this week like we plan on, we could just car pool down in the TB and get drunk while the women drive!!!! (jen i know ull like that idea)

i mean, at least we wouldnt be so damn pissed anymore

x2 you can test mine too:D. slicks suppose to get here wednesday. i want to see with slicks and a good driver what my car will run.

Coming down to the wire for me too guys....I'm taking my car to the shop today to do the finishing touches on the paint and then HOPEFULLY this thing will be ready.

Nothing like last minute details!

thats what it was all about last year when i had to drive the impala. this year was all about having the GN down there. I could have had him rush the paint and had it in time, but decided ide be pissed in the long run

hopefully the regal is a little more fun even tho i didnt get to do what ide like to in time to race it

Way to go Nick! Mystie and I are technically FIRST here (three car convoy with us in the lead. Us, Kelly Hancock, and Nick and Kim). A couple pics in a few.

BTW... just so everyone knows, The track screwed up the booking, so please don't hold this against Chris. Mystie saw they had something else booked on their site yesterday, she contacted Chris, and Chris immediately got in contact with the the track. Since the event they booked over us is a 3 day long big time event (more money), they apologized and bumped us. Just wanted to say that since I didn't want you all thinking Chris messed this up in anyway. They had already gave him their word and took his money, which from what I understand, they are refunding him.

The cavalier is parked around the corner for a reason. LoL!! Well it has company now that there are a few other grand prix here. :)
 
we will be leaving in 12 hours or less.. not sure if we r gonna car pool with dave yet, or drive the regal down...

still need to wax the regal, organize the trunk setup, and reinstall my deck if i wanna take it........hmmmmmm
