• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

BGPM 2008, Sept. 4th - 6th

looks as if tommorow I will be putting in my time off request, and making my lodging arrangments. Although I will probably be on the phone with the instalers under me the whole time, haha, thats what sucks about being the senior, on call all time.

Steven, glad you are planning on being there.

There is going to be a big turnout this year. Last year was good, but this year may be way beyond that.

Got my reservation in as well already. Let's fill it up. Thinking probably take an extra day this year and see Branson.

Few of us are planning to arrive a whole day early so we can do some stuff on our own before the event as well.

Thinking of mapping out a nice drive on some area roads and see all that Branson has to offer. And what my suspension can handle on them windy roads. :D

Hey Farns, if I can make it down there on Thurs (and I say "if" because last year I couldnt come until Friday because my school has open houses that first Thurs in Sept) I plan on leading a cruise. Aaron and I go down in May every year for "Z FEST," where all his 300zx buddies go on "high spirited" cruises they call them...its a lot of fun, I would love to take you all on some of the roads we go on:D

^I'm game, hell ya! We can play follow the leader and dodge old people driving their campers.

~F~

hahah yea! On Aarons Z cruise we flew over a hill and literally almost hit a guy on his riding lawn mower-the guy went off the road into the ditch...he was ok, but we felt kinda bad:p

Yep, as far as the plan now is Jessica and I will be there an extra day as well. I have our room reserved for Sept. 3, 4, 5, and 6.

man this sounds like it would be a blast im gonna have to wait a year maybe unless i come into a bunch of $$$$

Why wait? You have 8 months to save. Truly this is not an expensive event. Plus you live in KS so the drive can't be too far for you (had members drive 11+ hours to get there in 07). I can't remember, but I think for my wife and I last year I spent about $350-400 total (including hotel, registration, gas, food, souvenirs, etc...and of course alcohol). So if I save $13 a week now I'd be covered. It'll be a bit more for me this year adding a day and we are gonna check out the area attractions as well. That amount was by no means "watching" our spending either. Everything is VERY reasonably priced and if one wanted to it wouldn't be hard to cut that amount down a bit. Hope to see everyone there and meet new and old faces. With the turnout of last year and the interest for 2008, I can see it filling up.

hey lee or other peeps that went last year, what is the number for that hotel you guys are staying at? I don't want to be the lone wolf all by myself at another hotel.
