• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

BGPM 2008, Sept. 4th - 6th

Paid and ready to go. Not as many people registered as I thought there would be at this point. :(

Agree I know it's early yet, but also know it's very helpful to those putting this together to have funds in hand ASAP. I'm pretty sure the STL group attendance will be less than last year. Oh and how is it you are listed twice?:th_wtf::th_biggrin2:

OOPS...thats my doing....I copy and past when I am adding new registrations and just change the name, and I guess I forgot to do that...I will fix it up tonight when I get home...

Thanks for pointing it out

Dang, hope I didn't screw Zach out of two early registration gifts.:th_laugh-lol2:

Ok, I fixed the site, so we should be good to go.

I know there are more people out there that are going. We have 20+ rooms reserved at the fall creek inn and only 14 people registered. Get the word out to your local clubs to get registered. There are 21 more early registration prizes left, and I for one think they are pretty cool.

Registered and paid for. I'm primed and ready to go.

I got a few ideas brewing for some drawing prizes too....I think you guys will be pleasantly surprised.

Damn. I just read somewhere else that the track doesnt allow slicks?! :( BGPM was going to be my first runs on slicks. Might have to head out to US41 now to try for my PB's.

Yeah, IIRC it's because of the length of the run-off area. I know a couple had drag radials last year. Hopefully the weather is nice for 2008! Hoping I have my GTP sorted out by then, but who knows. Gonna try to resist the urge to run it this year that many hours from home.

So how many of you are planning on going but are going to register later in the year?
I'm sure a good share of the attendees from last year will make a return trip if they can. As well most likely will have Ed, Dave & Jen, etc. I will have to try to attend two of my classes on different days that week. Hopefully the instructors are accomodating.

oh come on Jason, you did it last year!

Um sort of if you wanna call it that.... Pop, pop, poof!!:th_shrugshoulders:

We'll see. If at first you don't succeed try, try again. Ed Morad Blow It Up Award here I come!! I think I'm gonna give the keys to someone else when we get to the track this year to avoid the urge.:o

So you're the one. Should have seen all of the heads turns, and in unison, the multitudes of "Ah $hit!" that rang out.:th_wtf::th_biggrin2:

Yeah, a bit embarassing. You should have seen the jaw drop and pucker in unison inside the car! A bad nitrous solenoid ended up being my electrical as well. Scared the hell out of me, but luckily no harm other than a bruised ego. Too far from home for playing, but I did pay for the racing already just in case.:th_thumbsup-wink:

Yea LowlyfeGTP, its becuase of the runout. Its about 100 feet short on the runout to be a fully sanctioned 1/4 mile track, however they do have all the timing set up for 1/4 mile. The deal is everyone runs street tires and we can run the 1/4 mile, OR everyone run the 1/8 mile and you can run slicks or street tires. We opted for the 1/4.

The first year there we had 9 people I think that set a PB. The track and weather was perfect. Last year, the rain was looming and the humidity was up, and I dont think anyone but GTPluv (Lorri) hit a PB, but thats only because it was her first time out on a track.

This year I will be getting with a few local Indian tribes and get them to do an anti rain dance.

You sure you dont mean some special voodoo octain booster? lol Chris just to clarify, is it the same deal this year at the track? Street tires - which will include drag radials - and we can all run the 1/4 ? Im not sure what I am bringing this year but plan to just sign up to race anyways. I doubt my Cutlass will be twin-charged by then since it just took me a month and a half to to an oil change on our Trailblazer lol, but who knows.
