Better solution to a gasket?

Just wondering if anyone has a better solution then a gasket when connecting exhaust pipes together. The flange on the res is leaking where it connects to the downpipe and I know it's the s***y gasket. I know it's not the back of the res because it's got a good clamp and you don't see gas dripping from it like you do where the downpipe connects to the front of the res. The exhaust sounds likes it's ticking when you put some gas on it and is starting to annoy me. Is there something better I can use or where can I get a gasket where it will last and make a good seal?

You could try copper rtv

Maybe I will do that. I threw out the corsa gasket they supplied me with when I put a straight pipe in place of the res but it was just too loud so when I put the res back on I tried using a different gasket a few times and none of them will seal well

you could have it welded but then that limits your ability later on to swap out the exhaust parts easily
