bet on s/c making boost 24/7.. input??

ok one of my soldiers bet me that my GTP is constantly making boost 24/7 even when im just cruising around. i could be wrong but i told him that the boost bypass valve bleeds the boost when its not needed ( like when just cruising) so since the s/c is crank driven its true the rotors are constantly moving but no power is created on normal driving conditions correct? the air just gets recirculated and stays in the blower case to reatin good gas mileage?

also, if the boost bypass valve was inop or missing, would the car create power (boost) under light or no throttle?

Im pretty sure you can stay out of boost if you try.

You are right. When your just cruising around the engine is still in vacum, so no psi/boost.

any input on my question what happens if the BBV is taking off? will i be in boost just cruising around or no?

you will still pull vacuum until you open the throttle enough and build the rpm's to make the super push boost, but after you let off the throttle you will boost stack and pop a piston.
