Best way to read codes?

After having driven her around all weekend no issues, this morning when I crank her up all good at first but two seconds later... BOOM! Service Engine Soon came on. I'm sure it can be a million different things, whats the best way to go about this? Is there like an OBD scanner or something I can plug into? If so any recommendations, I'm a true noob at reading diagnostics info.

i have both, hand held scanner works faster for sure.

Ok sooooooo I got my hands on a reader, before that I noticed my coolant was a little low, I filled it.... guess what the code was

P0446

Im no code reader but I think it has to do with the coolant being low?!

Is this bad? Can I drive on it or is it a bad idea? What does that valve do, I just looked up some videos looks totally doable

It's just emissions related, you could drive it like that for a very long time if you had too.

yup not hurting a thing. it take gas tank fumes and burns them i guess by letting them into the tb.

Thanks man, I ended up replacing getting the solenoid valve, code long gone now... Also while looking all this up I stumbled upon aeroforce gauges which look like a lot of fun and a super powerful accessory I had never even thought of having
