Best way to detail or spice up rims?

I have the stock 05 Grand Prix Base wheels and don't have the cash on hand to buy rims at this point, what would be the best way to detail or possibly spice up the stock rims?

Leave them alone and wait until you can snag up some better wheels. Honestly the more you try to make them stand out, the worse they end up looking. Anytime I see someone try to spice up lower quality "stock" wheels I think they're trying to hard to make it something that its not.

Can they be polished? get some good tire cleaner, NOT DISH SOAP!!, and clean them very well. Then may I suggest an appropriatte sized Mother's powerball for your rims, and get out your cordless drill and go to town. (Not literally as in to pick up a movie and some chicken, but figurativly as in work theat powerball good on your rims.)

As for as cleaning simple car wash soap and a scrub mit if they're that bad then pull each one off and clean them throughly. I would put the effort into polishing them.

You can polish them as long as there not clear coated. If they are aluminum you can use some mothers aluminum wheel polish but it takes a lot of elbow grease to get them looking good.
