Best struts??

I'm looking to probably replacing all struts. They have 144xxx miles on them and I was planning on lowering my car with DNA springs. I was wondering what would improve ride and proformance. Oh btw it's a 2004 gt2

well i have the Comp-g strut/SSC spring combo and i love the stance, also ride is not bad... buuut if you want ride comfort then dont lower it.. you can not have best of both worlds when it comes to lowering

if you are going to use the GR-2's or whatever they are called you will have to switch out your LCA's to the old style.. cause right now they will not work with your car

I just got KYB Excel-Gs, KYB strut mounts, KYB boots, and B&G springs shipped to my door for a smidgen over $700 bucks. Now if you go with DNA they are ~$150 dollars less than B&G so you'd prolly end up around $600 for all new. Not including alignment afterwards though.

They make GR-2/Excel G for both 97-03 and 04+. The AGX were not manufactured for 04+.

Dunno when they started it. If you go to KYB's website they have part numbers. Thats what I ordered for the GR-2/Excel G. Excel G is the new naming of GR-2 btw. I also heard, don't know for sure, that some 06+ have the same LCA as 97-03. Dunno for sure, but if it's true then you could run AGX w/o having to change LCA.

Well from the thread "DNA... Yep I said it" he just adds DNA springs and says its just as good as original referring to ride. But i wanna upgrade my original. I was looking at others threads some one mentioned bilatien(gxp) struts. Would this make my ride super stiff? Also I live in ohio so maybe lowering isn't the best idea. Thoughts?
Btw thanks guys! I love the enthusiasm. =]

Bilstein's are expensive. And you would have to ask someone else about the ride quality of em. I hear they are nice, but expensive. And I live in the middle of nowhere Kansas, and I already scrape a lot. Still going low.

They are yellow.

They work well.

First thing you notice is how the car responds to more smaller movements.

Oh and they're yellow.

I hate that about those guys...

What they advertise as HD is actually comfort valving.

And what they advertise as sport is HD valving.

Sport has a shorter rod for use with lowering springs and they don't make them for many american platforms.

Also, thats EACH, not per pair.

wow that is actually pretty cheap for some Bilsteins.. i paid over 700 for my comp-g's 2 years ago... The Bilstiens however make the ride height taller then normal struts i have heard... but from the looks of that site they have the Sports so you could get those instead

They're not sports.

As I just explained.

They dont make sports for our vehicles.

And yes, they do raise your car.

I used vogtland springs and i'm sitting at stock ride height.

excel g's / gr2's will be fine for dna's, believe me. no need to spend extra money on struts if you probably wont tell the difference, unless youre OCD about handling.

In the all shock page I posted it says Qty: 2. Just wanted to point that out, but I really apperiate all the input!! Thanks guys!!
