Best Spark Plugs and Wires

I have two 97 SE's with the 3800NA engine. I'm wanting to keep them as close to stock as I can. What are the best spark plugs and wires that I can get for them? Should I replace anything else while I'm at it?
 


I used OEM AC Delco plugs/wires on mine and it runs just fine. Might also think about replacing the PCV valve, and cleaning the MAF.

Typical tuneup for me is- plugs, wires, PCV valve, clean MAF, fuel filter, air filter. Doing that seems to work good so far.

If you haven't changed the coolant in either of those cars for a while (or ever) now would be a good time to do so as well. I would figure being 97's they probably have about 140K on them.

I think NGK spark plugs is great because i am always seeing good feedback from forum sites regarding that product. Just make sure you buy this autoparts from trusted stores so you wont be having any trouble in the end.

I'd always go with Autolite 606's. These motors love copper core plugs time and time again. Wires? Vatozone special...the duralast wires...lifetime warranty too...and cheap.

Your DIS ignition fires one half the spark plugs in the opposite direction, meaning the spark actually jumps from the side wire to the center wire. using any copper plug in a DIS ignition vehicle is a mistake that will cause rapid degradation in the sidewire and misfires in as little as 16k miles. Use the Autolite XP606 Iridium fine wire plug. Yes, they cost 7 bucks a piece. They are worth it. They take less ignition voltage to fire and have a 25% larger flame kernal than the stock plug. The also have a platinum button on the side wire to prevent gap erosion. They have a 100k life span as well. Boosted cars like copper plugs, because they have a nice flat tip that does not get superheated like iridium or plat plugs.

I for one just like copper plugs...they are cheap as hell and proven to work in the 3800 platform.
 
My bad I didnt read. For a n/a car that is going to stay stock get the stock heat range ac delco plat plugs.
