Best place to buy Engine Gaskets / Cam Install kits? I bought a block last month and am trying to work on buying the stuff to build it. I picked up a stock timing chain and dampener for $35 this week shipped. I just found this and wondered if it was a good deal or not. Genuine GM Cam Installation Kit: 3800 Performance

I'm not ready to buy hard parts yet but I'll get there when I can. The gasket's i'd like to purchase next and then I'll start working on buying the big stuff.
 


I'd say piece things together. Use discount codes online with Advance or whatever local parts places you have.

The kit you referenced has plastic LIM's, no valve cover grommets and stock rocker bolts.

Personally I like a good happy set of Fel Pro VC's with the grommets, GM LIM's or Fel Pro, set of reusable rocker bolts, Fel Pro viton valve seals, front cover gasket or a lower conversion kit. The lower conversion kit is the cheaper way to get a pile of gaskets including an oil pan gasket for less than buying the oil pan gasket alone.
