Why would you run a converter? The resonator controls the rasp/drone/tone of the exhaust, hence what the glasspack is used for...longer the glasspack, deeper the tone...I had a universal bullet style muffler welded in before the exhaust "Y"s; no one runs true duals. True duals were on ONE FWD Wbody...and there was more custom stuff in that car than there was on this entire forum put together.

Yes Flowmasters sound like A$$ on our cars. I like my magnaflows but since i've gotten headers I think they sound like ass too! I'm going to be adding a long Glasspack soon to take care of that though.
 


Funny to read this me and my friend were talking about the work it would take to run a true dual on these cars just yestterday

I don't recommend a Spintech for a DD muffler...its LOUD. Glasspack...26" or 28"...they are cheap but I'd go with the 28". Factory GTP piping is 2.25". Honestly...if your looking for sound get some decent mufflers and tips...that choice is up to you. Also...you can get the 28" glasspack for cheap and you can buy a Magnaflow High Flow Cat off of EBay...the reason I don't run one is because I don't DD my car and people around here don't care about emissions. You can also just buy a 3" catted downpipe from ZZPerformance that just bolts in...and that'll change your exhaust note a little too.
 


i kinda like it loud :P but we'll see.
I think what im gonna do is when i have the money, buy my headers which would come with a DP, then get a highflow cat, new mufflers, glasspack and get it installed all at once.
Although im still unsure what to get for headers...

or should i get my 3" DP and do my exhaust before my money rolls around for the headers.?
 
they will be closer to $300 since im in canada. and ppl are tellin me u need more than what they give u in the mail....
gaskets, band clamps etc. plus the rear one is a b**** to install?
 


Because the guy asking the questions isn't the OP.

My Pacecrappers were less than $500 and I welded them into 2 piece headers....they are awesome.
