Throw me your opinions on best ceramic brake pads... wouldn't hurt to say why you like them so much... Price does not matter too much to me.

My main concerns

-Stopping power
-least amount of brake dust
-wear time

Thanks! :th_thumbsup-wink:

i ran EBC green. they stopped well and never faded on me. they lasted quite a while, but they ALWAYS squealed under light braking.

Used the EBC Green as well and had the same problem with squealing. Good stopping power but I had more of a problem with brake dust with these then I would of liked. But the squealing got super annoying. Now using the Hawk HPS pads and I think they are a descent all around pad for the money. But I do not think they are ceramic though?

I’ve run Hawk ceramic for like a year now, so far so good.:th_thumbsup-wink:

Zero squealing and low dust. Same braking power as OEM.

I went through many pad sets in a years time when i had my gtp.
EBC green
pfc
thermo Q
some duralast
Hawk HPS

Hands down hawk hps i have used them on any car i have done a brake job on

EBC red stuff seems to stop pretty nicely...

I've used napa pads, "monroe", wagner thermoquiet.

EBC's are my favourite all around. Wagners are still noisy when cold.

X2 EBC Reds have been absolutely fantastic. Front and rear and are quiet.

Hawk HPS arent ceramic. HPS is semi-metallic ferro-carbon. I do vouch for both of them... I run HPS, my buddy EBC Reds. Now Reds are harsher on the rotors (thank Kevlar fibres) and have a long brake-in period (think over a hundred miles or more) but stop damn well and last really long.

I put the Hawks HPS - no squeal, very low dust and so far i love them.

Ceramic pads will not give the best stopping power-they are designed to be quiet with low dust and better stopping power than OEM pads but will not provide the ultimate in stopping distance.

I have used Performance Friction pads for 100,000 miles on my 01 and my 98 GT prior to that. I have also used the PF pads on my 04 Impala 3.8 LS for 50,000 miles and they still had pad material left when I sold it. Great stopping power, excellent longevity, no sqealing, and very little brake dust.

I have EBC Green pads on a 1994 Mustang GT and like them for stopping power but they do produce brake dust.

The best pads are carbon metallic or ferro carbon. I would also include Hawk HPS's as a great pad. To me the best all around value-Performance Friction-About $40 an axle.

I have Monroe pads in mine. They squeal like no other (deafening), and last forever. I'm about to replace them with Hawk HPS...

Wow! If you've changed your pads a few times on the same car, then you either have a lemon or a vintage relic!

I just put some duralast gold cmax ceramics, and for (probably chineese) the price, they seem to work much better than the OEMs semi-m's. Son complains they are too "touchy".
