Belt noise when wet

Im in the car wash today and the belt was making like a hissing whining noise. Ive heard it before when it was pouring out one day it only happens under 1k rpms. Any help please? SC belt is brand new
 


Hissing could be the water hitting your exhaust and turning into steam? but then you would probably see it.
 
belts like to make noises when they have **** on them.

It is possible its the tensioner, have you tried pushing on the belt to see how much tension there is? Compare the two belts. I can tell you just by doing that i found out my S/C belt tensioner is quite worn... Unless its supposed to have less tension on it...

Anyone else chime in on my threadjack? :D

But seriously, its possible thats the issue.
 
well i just got the top swap done like 2 months ago so i figured all the belts were good and so were the pulleys
 


nope just new belts.. but my reg belt was in good condition brian said we didnt need to change it and saved me some cash but i know the belts are good
