Bell housing bolt

I already checked two of the rod bearings and they did not look good. each one had a gouge down the center of the bearing all the way around. I appreciate your input but at this point I would like to have second opinion on that. Anyone else know about 3800 not taking to new bearings? If so there has to be a reason.
 


I put a new piston in when I screwed one up. Guess what happened 200 miles later?

Bingo.. pulled the crank etc.. all rods to put new parts in w/o line boring etc and then back in.. it came right back out and a different motor went in.
 
Please please listen to these guys they know what they are talking about. You will save so much time, effort, and money.
 
Ok, I'm understanding.lol I am an old school guy just messing around with this new crap. So I guess I'm searching for a jy engine again.

Sad part is.. these motors are old crap. The 3800 when you tear into them are nothing more than a 350 missing two cylinders with better lifters.
