• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

LS1

you lift, you lose means that if you lift off the throttle anywhere before the finish line you lose. So by lifting while you are playing catch-up and you lift, you lost.

Referencing the throttle, of course.

you took an ls1 camaro???????? :D

I meant more on the LT's than the LS's. Even beating a LT would make me happy considering the cars they are suppose to be. Always wanted a LS camaro, just because I love their powerplant. And no, I haven't taken a LS. Atleast not right now. Would be fun though just to see how far ahead they get me by.

lt's remind me more of the old 5.0 motors. not all that strong stock. stoute, but not that impressive. around 260hp. ls1 on the other hand.....whole diff world :D

cam and a little head work on a ls1 and its moving!! there is a guy that has an ls1 with an ls6 intake (which after 2000 the ls1's had ls6 blocks (just block, not internals) and ls6 intake manifolds. he has the cheapest heads and mildest cam. makes 400hp and 370tq. has 4.10 gears and a gto tranny (closer cut gears). and runs elevens.

big cam and heads, no need for a supercharger :D
unless you wanna go with an lt1....

I hear ya, but you know after owning a gp, it it don't have the whine of a s/c, I'll think there's something wrong.lol!!!!

I've also seen where guys had a friend that worked at a dealership, got a vin off a vette and had their computers reflashed with that. Woke them up a bit.

yea.. might be kinda hard to hear it over a big cam and long tubes tho :D and not to bust your bubble but i dont think they have any root style blowers for the ls's, just centrifical, only thing your gonna hear from that is whiseling :)

buy a cobra!!

Go race some LT1's IMO...I have trouble beating LS1's...after 80 regardless they start pulling...those things are all top end and most can touch high 12's with MINOR bolt-ons. I can beat them on the street and by the time I LET off, they are beginning to pass me...so I WIN :D

HAHA let me chime in here for a second owning both a gp and LS1 firebird. first off, the 93-97 birds and maros have the LT1 and the 98-02 have the LS1. now dont get me wrong the gp has an AMAZING sound to it. but nothing beats the roar of an LS1 running just headers. now in that video, the firebird is a v6. that style headlight would be the LS1. and actually you can fit a roots style on the f-body its just a pain and you get the same gains from a centrifugal. and they can be dropped to low 13's rather easy. i have an LS6 intake mani, K&N intake, and full exhaust and i hit 13.3.

ive seen stock ls1 camaros go 12.6 on some damn good drag radials. and if im not mistaken 00.01.02. come with ls6 intake manifolds and blocks. not internals, just bare block

:th_tongue2:pretty jelous of my friends 01 camaro ss , it only has an SLP axle back and it sounds amazing. It ran a 13.5
